press , right here. tälli comes to your cursor and listens, the way it does on your mac.
Okay, äh, slept badly again. I think it's the stress, ähm, with the deadline.
a voice journal for the mac
say it the way it comes: unfinished, hesitant, in your language. tällmi keeps every word and finds it again later.
äh included.(äh: german for “uh”, the sound of thinking.)
the idea
talk the way you think, with pauses and restarts, in your language. the äh stays in. messy is good, and it works.
*in german.
kept
your thought stays exactly as you said it, äh included, next to everything you've said before.
connected
people, places, topics and feelings link up across your thoughts, in your language. worked out on your mac, never sent anywhere.
found
ask for “sleep”, find “tired” and “woke up at 4”.

press , right here. tälli comes to your cursor and listens, the way it does on your mac.
Okay, äh, slept badly again. I think it's the stress, ähm, with the deadline.
when a thought wants more care, write it, in the same place, with headings and lists.
what helped this week
your words stay exactly as you said or typed them. tällmi never rewrites them.
privacy
not big tech's. not an ad network's. not ours either. a journal only works if you can say anything in it, so tällmi keeps everything on your mac, and has no way to send it anywhere.
the app is built without network access. transcription, search and answers run on your mac's own chip, in flight mode too.
nothing to sign up for, and no server that holds your thoughts. there is no tällmi server.
every thought is encrypted with a key in your mac's keychain. sync through any folder you like: what lands there is unreadable. your recovery key is the only spare.
export everything as markdown and audio whenever you want, readable in any text editor, with or without tällmi.
counted live by your browser, right now.
try it
tällmi is early. use it, tell us what's missing, or help build it.
try tällmian early version, for macs with apple silicon and macOS 26.
the first time, macOS stops it. choose open anyway in system settings → privacy & security.
